Event 1: Grand Opening Concert - The Australian Brandenburg Ensemble

A program of Bach and Vivaldi performed by The Australian Brandenburg Ensemble directed by Lucinda Moon.

Event 2: Organ Recital

Organist John O’Donnell performs a recital of works by Bach.

Event 3: The Song Company with The Australian Brandenburg Orchestra

Roland Peelman conducts The Song Company and The Australian Brandenburg Orchestra in a program of Bach Cantatas and Motets.

Event 4: The Peasant Cantata

A free dramatised performance of the Peasant Cantata BWV 212 in Hanna’s Arcade, performed by Leanne Roobol (soprano), Christopher Allan (bass), Sue Dowell (violin), Bronwyn Logan (violin), Carissa Hutchinson (viola), Andrew Alter (cello), Rob Dowdell (double bass), Meredith Norman (harpsichord), and Tilly Pamment (recorder).

Event 5: Lute Recital

Tommie Andersson performs a program of solo lute works by Weiss and Bach.

Event 6: Lecture - Bach and All That Jazz

Dr Rosalind Halton presents a public lecture exploring the interpretive choices at the heart of performing Bach’s music, and how these have drawn many jazz musicians to the repertoire.

Event 7: Das Hohelied - Song of Songs

The Song Company traces the development of German polyphonic music from its early origins to the new dramatic styles, all of which influenced Bach.

Event 8: Festival Church Service

Fiori Musicali and the New England Sinfonia perform hymns and Bach’s Cantata BWV 158 during a service in Armidale Uniting Church.

Event 9: Harpsichord Recital

John O’Donnell performers Bach’s Toccata in C minor, the French Suite No. 4, Partita No. 3 in a minor, and the English Suite No. 4 in F major.

Event 10: Bach and the French Connection

The Connectors Ensemble performs music by Bach and Couperin. Zana Clarke (recorder), Andrew Lindner (viola da gamba), Glenys March (harpsichord), and Caroline Downer (viola da gamba).

Event 11: Solo Violin

Anna McDonald performs two Bach partitas for solo violin.

Event 12: J.S. Bach - His Contemporaries and Influences

Salut! Baroque present a program featuring Pachelbel, Fux, Bach, and Telemann.
